Cascadia Dentistry deploys many of the latest proven dental technologies to provide our patients with the best in comfort and care.
Digital x-rays
We use digital x-ray sensors instead of traditional photographic film. This is an improvement for patients because we bypass chemical processing and have the ability to digitally transfer and enhance your images for more accurate diagnosis. Further, less radiation is used to produce your image compared to conventional x-ray technology.
CAD-CAM Impressions
We utilize digital scanning for most crown and bridge work and many implant restorations. Digital impressions tend to be easier on patients than traditional impressions and are extremely accurate. Many of our crowns require zero adjustments due to this fantastic advancement in dental technology.
Laser cavity detection
Even the best x-ray technology cannot detect certain cavities. That’s why we provide laser cavity detection with the Diagnodent. This instrument can identify weak, deteriorated areas of your teeth, even when it appears that there is no visible cavity. The Diagnodent also detects your cavities at their earliest onset. What that means to you, is earlier treatment and often less invasive treatment to keep your teeth intact.
“The Wand” anesthesia system
With little to no discomfort for getting numb, our patients consistently comment about how simple and comfortable our anesthesia delivery is for them.
The Wand is a microprocessor-controlled device that decreases any sensation of “getting the shot” and dramatically reduces post-operative pain that’s normally associated with a traditional syringe injection.
Drill-free fillings
We offer both laser and air abrasion cavity removal. With laser, your cavities are virtually vaporized, which means very little to no discomfort during care. Air abrasion uses a stream of air and a fine sand to gently scour away a cavity.
As one patient remarked, “All of my life I have been terrified of the dentist. I dread every appointment. Today, my teeth were cleaned, smoothed, and I had two small cavities taken care of, and without any tears!” –BH
